Alece Schreiber - Australia and New Zealand Travel Specialist

Thank you for planning a vacation to remember! Australia and New Zealand were fantastic. Your hotel choices were great, and having a driver awaiting our arrival at the airports really made the travel seamless.

The Sydney Bridge Climb was a once in a lifetime experience and the helicopter ride to Milford Sound was spectacular. Your recommendations for our excursions and day trips really gave us great exposure to the two countries. Can't wait for you to plan our next trip!

Our trip was fantastic, every place and tour was more amazing than we expected. We reduced our 220 pictures into a 180-picture album that reminds us of our trip of a lifetime. Our itinerary combined everything we wanted and was executed perfectly. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and proud to show off their country.

We were spoiled at the Central Ridge Boutique Hotel, the accommodations, breakfast, and hostess were wonderful. The tours and all of the area were eye-candy, and a photographers dream. On our free day we did a 4-stop wine tour, which we would highly recommend. All of New Zealand was fascinating.

In Cairns we thoroughly enjoyed our excursions to the Great Barrier Reef and the rain forest. Our hikes at Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta, and the history of the aboriginal people were very interesting. Ending our New Zealand/Australia journey in Sydney was ideal. We toured Sydney Opera House and the surrounding area, including a great lunch at a German restaunet

We downgraded ourselves from a large car to a small car at Budget in Melbourne to be safer drivers (so we didn't hit things). The drive along the Great Ocean Road was my favorite part. Our Sydney day tour (with Jens), Yarra Valley tour (with Matt) and
Penguin Parade tour (with Bruce) were all personal. I think we paid for a small group tour but it was just Elizabeth and me. This allowed individual attention and catering for our likes. These events (all suggested by you) really made the trip special.

On our day tour of Sydney with Jens, the Vaucluse house was closed, so he took us to Doyle's for lunch. And that experience was awesome. It was a great introduction to Sydney. Most importantly, everyone was on time and the itinerary was without flaws. We NEVER had a problem with any of our tours or bookings. That's a sign of a good travel agent and a solid relationship with the in-country Swain folks.

You can confidently count us as satisfied and happy customers. We would love to go back to Australia in the future and had a lovely Honeymoon. Adventure, relaxation, nature. It was all there.

The Yarra Valley Wine Tour was fantastic. Super guide/driver and great group of people from all over the world along for the ride. Went to 3 vineyards. It was great. The drive along the Great Ocean Road was amazing. I would suggest 3 nights along the way to Adelaide as there is a lot of ground to cover and I stopped every 15 minutes to take another photo. I started early so it was just perfect. I arrived at the 12 Apostles a couple of hours before sunset.

Warrnambool was beautiful and so was the Chardonnay Lodge. Fantastic food at the Lodge! I recommend dinner for sure. Kangaroo Island was amazing. Graham and Lynn were wonderful and I think that you MUST go to the Island when you visit Australia. I did the more 'luxury outback' experience. It was just right for me. I was the only one on the tour for 3 days. My guide Murray was awesome. We hit it off and had a great time.

Sailing is one of my favorite things to do so sailing around Sydney harbor could not have been better. The captain was great, he sends his best. The Bridge Climb was a rush like no other. You are completely safe but it's still VERY high up. Amazing day. All the tours and excursions were just perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thanks again for the best trip of my life... to date.

I was impressed by how professionally your affiliate in Australia handled the sudden shutdown of one of the tour operators in Yalara. I got a phone call to inform me, with a follow up fax detailing the change in plans. The alternative provided (Kata Tjuta afternoon/Ularu sunset) was super. I thought, many times, how glad I was to have relied on your excellent guidance in planning for this spectacular trip. Cheers,

- Susan

Hi, Alece--

Just wanted to let you know we loved New Zealand, and enjoyed every part of the trip. You were right - Otahuna was quite wonderful in its physical attributes, meals, and in the cordiality of the proprietors and staff (we were given the amazing Veranda Suite which looks out on the front lawn, I guess because they were underbooked).

Sam did get to complete the Tongariro crossing in fine weather, & I took some wonderful shorter hikes that day. The tuxedo was waiting for us at the hotel, and fit fine - but actually about half of the men were not wearing them at the party - which was kind of fun: we were seated at a table with 2 honeymooning couples and a couple from Wellington that were dancing fools! The Chateau is really a fun place - built in the 20's in the grand style, but rooms are modernized nicely and it's kept up well - spectacular views. It accommodates skiers and hikers, but still manages to keep a little of its old opulence without being stuffy. - and of course has access to lots of outdoor activities. We were glad we persisted with keeping Tongariro in our itinerary, even though it is not the easiest place to get to. Getting "bumped" off the bus kept us in Turungi for several hours (and there's not much to keep one in Turungi), but it really was a minor glitch, once we were assured that we were going to get on the next bus - thanks to Swain for efficient intervention. I think Wellington was my favorite city - kind of made us think of a small scale San Francisco, where we lived for a few years. We took the cable car up to the Botannical Gardens, which were lovely - and then spent the afternoon at the marvelous

TePapa Museum. We liked all our hotels . Tho' it was rainy in Rotorua, we had an excellent guide for our geothermal/nature excursion & we also liked the museum there - I'm glad we included it (and the glow worm caves). I felt we did get to learn a good deal about Maori culture, certainly an important part of NZ's heritage and contemporary scene as well. We really appreciated the excellent drivers we had - friendly, informative, prompt, helpful - that is surely appreciated when one has a trip this long requiring a large bag. Thanks again for your assistance in planning this trip. It was a great way for Sam and me to celebrate our 50 years together. Best wishes to you, and happy travels.

We had absolutely the best time in Australia. Everything was just fantastic. The people were so charming and friendly and all of the tours were much more exciting than we could have hoped for.  Even the weather worked out for us every where we went. Thank you again for creating such a wonderful itinerary for our honeymoon.  We will forever have fond memories of our trip.

I only have good things to say about the tours, airlines, and hotels. All of our feedback is A+++

Thanks a lot for all of your work in planning this fairytale of a honeymoon. Kelly and I were very pleased with everything and can't wait to go back to explore Western Australia and New Zealand in more detail.

Our Odyssey tour of Litchfield and Kakadu Parks: Though brief, it was spectacular. Even with increased tourism, these are impressive wilderness areas where we were often alone with flocks of cuckoos, cockatoos, kites, ibis, jabirus and incredible termite mounds. We saw wallabies, kangaroo, water buffalo and crocodiles. Once at Lizard, it was obvious that there are few better places for marine life of all types. Right in front of the rooms were coral heads with giant clams, reef fish, silver tipped sharks, cone shells, tube worms and much more. Thank you for an excellent itinerary!

We had a fantastic time - I can't believe it's over already! We fell in love with Australia, the land, the people, the wine and the coffee!! Everyone is so genuinely friendly. Absolutely amazing. Melbourne was great. The weather was good for us, like a perfect October day here. Our trip to see the penguins was great. It was just the 4 of us with our guide, Ben, who was great.

Tom and the kids went on the bridge climb in Sydney. I was sorry I hadn't signed up to do it - next time!

It was an amazing trip and I can't thank you enough for all your help in putting it together. Everything worked out perfectly - no glitches anywhere. I can't wait to go back!
Thanks again,

Rich and I had the most wonderful time on our trip to Australia.  Thanks for your helpful planning - the places and day trips were exceptional.  I'm sending you photos to show you all the things we did.  Our favorites were the Rainforest tour, trip to Kangaroo Island, and day at the Barossa Valley.

Kind Regards,

Elizabeth
